Spinning Brides

One of the second hand cigar boxes arrived in two parts, this accidental occurrence, and chance happening, push forward a consideration of how these might be presented, how could I make it possible for the viewer to see both the painted image and the brand label side, so that they were in a visual dialogue with one another? The idea to hang them presented itself as the most obvious solution, through using translucent wire this generated a hovering effect, and the pieces are also affected by the wind around them by the movement of the viewer walking around the painting. Both the hanging and the movement are invisible entities and this finding has been and interesting collusion with chance and play, one that I will explore further in future experiments.
