Cigar Box Paintings

This fifth round of experiments came about from buying a collection of small second hand cigar boxes, which lent themselves more to painting than they did sculpture. These two pieces incorporate close up painted imagery of the 'Illuminated Box Bride' installation. In the event of exhibition these pieces will each be presented on singular plinth, to encourage the viewer to walk around the piece, engaging with the feeling of the micro scale of, and to get a sense of the consumer items juxtaposed with the nature to the painted image.
